Objections to the existence of God

Wednesday, October 9th, at 7:00pm.

In our last discussion, we talked about the god defended by Christian theists as a transcendent, eternal, and spiritual being. he is the one creator of all physical reality and existed before all of the time, space, matter, and energy. being “outside” the natural world, God cannot be discovered nor refuted by science alone. for this reason, the arguments for and against god’s existence must be, in the end, philosophical.

We will be discussing "objections to god's existence" brought forward by many atheists and agnostics through the ages.

Our class and discussions will on the following points primarily:

The burden of proof on believers Evidential insufficiency Presence of evil Impossible exclusivity of a Christian god Negatively perceived nature of the Christian god Unreliable and supernatural claims of Jesus Unreliability of scriptures

As always I appreciate your questions, comments and the subjects that you bring forth to the discussion.

I'm looking forward to another hour of exciting conversations and discussing difficult questions and answers.

I look forward to seeing you all!
